Kurdshop_ The Farashin Mountain which is located between Julamerg Province, Van, and Alki of Shirnax area in the North part of Kurdistan exhibits a spectacular natural view of its green lands and snowy mountains, the great valleys, and beautiful sites.

In the Alik (Bayt al Shabab) area near Shirnax, the plain of Farashin which is two thousand and 625 meters above sea level makes the area very beautiful every Spring, after a long winter, for its distinctive beauties and snowy mountains. After the temperature rises, people can see Spring and Winter at the same time.

After heavy rainfall in this mountain, many types of Spring flowers grow out of the ground and make this area very special. In this mountainous area that presents a different kind of beauty every season, the rivers flow strongly and flowers of distinct colors and types make it so beautiful that people could enjoy it greatly.

Farashin is a land of 120 thousand donum and when spring begins the gypsy people of Merdin, Sert, Badlis and many other parts of the North part of Kurdistan move to the mountain skirts of Farashin and they stay there until Autumn because of the blessed grazing grounds. After Autumn some of the gypsies move back but some of them who are from Elik and Shirnax stay for 10 to 15 days longer. Finally, they all leave Farashin in winter just to go back there the next Spring.

Although Farashin is a summer house for gypsies, it is also a touristic spot for other people. Due to the beauty of this area's nature, every Spring, in addition to the gypsies many other people come to visit this land.
