Kurshop - Navor Lake, which covers an area of about 280 hectares, is one of the 30 lakes registered in the Urmia province, East part of Kurdistan. It is located in the west of Chaldiran district and near the border with North Kurdistan.

Navor Lake takes its name from a village called Navor, which belongs to Chalderan City and is near Maku in East Kurdistan.

The lake hosts more than 10000 migratory birds annually, including geese, cranes, pigeons, and many other species. In addition, different birds, especially pigeons, visit the lake from the North, South, and West parts of Kurdistan.

Apart from the spectacular bird views, this area is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Chalderan. It is also one of the most popular tourist destinations due to its cool summer climate.

The lake's depth is unknown, but it is said to be very deep, which is why it is said to be bottomless.

Navor is one of the places that was important during the Kurdish uprisings, both as the lake and as the village of Navor. Navor Lake is also one of the lakes where many commanders and leaders of Kurdish uprisings such as Sheikh Zahir and many other leading figures were killed and martyred there in 1927-1930.
