Kuna Shamsham Cave
This cave is near "Torakh Tapa" in the "Chichama" area and it is 40 kilometers away from Mariwan city. Kuna Shamsham cave is made of limestone and it has three distinct entrances however, due to being ignored, one of the entrances has been blocked because of the mountain's collapse. This cave with 455 acres is a beautiful natural example. The importance of this cave is due to its excellent structure and its geological, biological, and cultural features. In addition to being a tourist destination, Kuna Shamsham cave is also a historical place because it contains clay tools dating back to the Dalma Era which had been a resident place clearly.
It is worth mentioning that Kuna Shamsham cave (the bats' hole cave) is known to be a place for bats to live because a special kind of bat lives in this cave. Like the other historical and tourist destinations of Kurdistan, this cave has not been scientifically studied yet and has not even been given such importance.
