Dementia has many causes and varies from person to person, according to differences in education, living conditions, work environment, physical condition, and age.

Nowadays, the mind is busy and often gets into a state where we forget the most basic things of daily life. Psychologists explain that when people are under stress, the memory network is distorted, one of which is forgetfulness.

Causes of dementia

There are usually many factors that cause a person to develop forgetfulness. The most obvious and important reasons are:

1. Excessive preoccupation may cause forgetfulness.

2. Sleep disorders: When you don't get enough sleep, you get mentally disturbed and forget a lot of things, so you need to regulate your sleep system.

3. Not paying attention to these things, that is, you do not like to keep these things in your mind in time and do not intend to remember, so you forget.

4. Deteriorating health and illness causes forgetting many things.

5. Age, getting old, and Alzheimer's disease.

6. Anemia or use of certain medications such as antidepressants, vitamin B1 and B12 deficiency, and high blood calcium levels.

7. Drinking too much alcohol and smoking.

8. Excessive use of technology has a great impact on the human brain, because it makes the brain tired, since people now do most of their work through technology, this case has increased and the brain is tired and does not work on the second mind causing forgetfulness.

9. The most obvious cause recently discovered was infection with the coronavirus. A new study found that 75% of the elderly who died of the coronavirus suffered from dementia.

10. In addition to health factors, economic factors, family problems, depression, and overthinking, cause increased pressure on human thinking and dementia.

How to treat dementia before it becomes a disease

1. Exercise helps improve memory by providing better amounts of oxygen to brain cells and regulating glucose metabolism, which is essential for the functioning of brain cells.

2. For the brain to be awake, social relationships should be strengthened and more time should be devoted to them.
