Therefore, we need to prepare for this season by changing our diet and providing the right foods to prevent diseases and even weight gain. Conversely, by ignoring or not paying attention to the healthy foods that should be eaten during this season, the human body suffers from "dry skin, hair loss, dry lips, lack of energy, and weakness.

The most important foods and drinks that should be eaten during this season and are healthy:

1. Garlic and onion: A pair of useful vegetables that strengthen the body's immune system. They are very useful to eat raw or cooked.

2. Fish: Eating most kinds of grilled fish is very useful for autumn.

3. Fruits, especially fruits such as Kiwi, pomegranates, and apples are rich in vitamins C and A and other antioxidants.

4. Dark leafy vegetables such as Cabbage, Cauliflower, and mint.

5. Eat vegetables such as soup, lentils, peas, and beans.

6. Drink herbal tea such as Chamomile tea, Fennel, Carnation, Ginger, and green tea, instead of foods that contain a lot of caffeine such as tea and coffee, especially if sugar is added, and also at night instead of tea and coffee, Drink warm milk or herbal tea.

7. Eat Hawthorn, which is very useful and an autumn food. There are two types of Hawthorns in Kurdistan (red and yellow). Hawthorn is rich in antioxidants and reduces the risk of cancer and heart disease. It protects the body from inflammation, lowers blood lipids, prevents hair loss, and is useful for weight loss.

8. Use cinnamon and cardamom in this season to increase the body's immunity.

9. Eat nuts such as walnuts, almonds, peanuts, and seeds (pumpkin seeds).

10. Eating honey in autumn and winter or mixed with water and drink in the form of juice, is very important for the energy and power of the human body.

11. Making natural juices, especially raisins in this season.

12. Eat Mulberries that contain a lot of antioxidants and have a lot of benefits.

13. Eat meat, especially chicken breast and lean red meat, which gives the body important energy.

14. Drink plenty of water to provide the body with enough water to prevent dehydration in the cold season, as well as in the summer season.

15. Eat foods rich in fiber and grains of all kinds.

Kurdistan has its own foods that are eaten in winter and are rich in nutrients and very useful for health; these include wheat soup, Shorba, lentil, Danaliq, Quraw (Barbasel - kind of shorba), Dwena, Tarkhena, Nokaw, Sarupe, milk, shalam, etc. These and more are eaten in Kurdistan in the cold seasons and have good health benefits.
