The Speech of Khalid Jamil Mohammed, a Writer from the western part of Kurdistan, who Received the Zara Award Instead of Kacha Kurd

On behalf of the Kurdish teacher and linguist from the western part of Kurdistan, the recipient of the Zara Award, Amina Amar, also known as the Kacha Kurd, has been struggling for the Kurdish language for decades and could not attend here due to her unstable health I am proud to receive the second Zara Award in her name and send it to Germany where she lives. Also, we wish her health and congratulate her and us on this award.

Greetings and welcome

The best and most sacred saying is a salute to the souls of the pure Peshmergas whose loyalty and heroism have made us gather freely here in Erbil today and speak freely about the Kurdish language. Fortunately, we even reward our linguists.

The Kurdish language has been banned by the oppressive regimes in all parts of Kurdistan for decades and linguists have paid a lot for it. However, despite oppression and attempts to blockade, regress, and assimilation, the Kurdish language has been able to stay alive, strong, rich, preserved, and clear.

Like other languages of the world, Kurdish has a treasure of culture, phonetics, vocabulary, grammar, semantics, and writing structure. It has a long history and signs of development are evident in its strength and wealth. Thanks to the valuable works invented in this language, it has now become the main foundation of the Kurdish people's identity.

The existence of the Kurdish language is linked to the existence of the Kurdish people. The existence of the Kurdish people is also linked to the existence of the Kurdish language. Therefore, the enemy of the Kurdish people is the enemy of the Kurdish language and the loyalty of the Kurdish people is also loyal to the Kurdish language.
