Kurdshop_ This book consists of eight articles. The order of the topics in this book based on the historical periods consists of the myth period to the modern period, it shows the effects of myth on Kurdish literature and it verifies the place of myth in the literature based on the dialects of Kurdish.
“In the past two centuries, through wakening the sense of nationalism, every nation has begun to find out their roots and origins.” In today’s world, ancient origins are considered as a form of legalization of a nation’s existence to take their rights. Kurds, like many other nations, have been attempting to gain the same goals and have wanted to show they are one of the oldest nations in the area. In order to prove this they have sought the solution in their old myths and culture to use them in establishing their national fundamentals.
In this book “Myth and the Kurdish-Iranian Myth in the Kurdish Literature” has been identified. This book has been written in four main dialects of Kurdish, with eight articles about folklore and classic and modern literature.
The first two topics are theoretical and talk about the relationship between myth and literature and mythical heroes’ voyages. The next six articles are about the analysis of Kurdish-Iranian myths in Kurdish literature.
