The Famous Singer, "Faizoy Rzo", Passed Away

Famous Kurdish singer Faizo Amarov, also known as Faizo Rzo, passed away in Krasnodar, Russia, on November 7 in the evening.

Faizo was diagnosed with cancer two years ago and passed away on November 7. His body was buried in Krasnodar.

Faizoy Rzo was the nephew of two great singers, Sharoy Bro and Majidi Fars. Rzo was born in 1954 in the village of Vermazyar near Yerevan, Armenia's Capital. His family is Yezidi Kurds and moved to Armenia during the 1915 exile and another part of his family moved to Georgia.

Faizoy Rzo is one of the well-known singers of the Yezidi community and the Kurdish people who has provided a unique service to Kurdish art and music. His family is also artistic and because he was the nephew of two singers (Sharoy Bro and Majidi Fars), he saw himself as an artist since childhood this is one of the reasons why he did not give up singing despite having many problems in his life.

In 2003, Rzo participated in the Newroz celebrations in Amed, the northern part of Kurdistan. He also participated in several major festivals with the famous Blur player, Agid Jmo, and performed many Kurdish songs.

Singer Faizoy Rzo has left behind several works. His works include Gada and Bave Faqe, Hakimo and Dalalie, Dasmale, and Oy Oy Li Min."
