"Saeed Yusof" is a Kurdish singer with a beautiful voice that has created a special feeling for thousands of Kurdish people with his unique voice. He is one of the well-known singers with a beautiful voice in Kurdistan.
The artist, "Saeed Yusof" who is known as "Miri Bizqe" was the first artist to bring Bizqe to "Qamishlo" and introduced it to other Kurdish artists and taught tens of them how to play this music instrument. He began his artistic life from a young age and in a short while became famous in Kurdistan and became one of the Kurdish music stars. He is musical till a shining star even after his death.
Saeed Yusof was born in 1947 in Qamishlo in the "Qodour Bag" neighborhood. He began his artistic life when he was a young man with the musical instrument of "Bizqe". Later, he composed most of his songs and lyrics himself. This famous artist has had about 700 songs during his lifetime, most of which were his own works.
Not only he was known as a music player and an artist, but he was also a poet and singer. He had also written hundreds of lyric lines and words, most of which he composed a piece of music for.
He went to Beirut, Lebanon's capital city in 1960 and pioneered the "Newroz" group there. He began to publish and establish Kurdish music which made most of the Lebanese artists and politicians interested like "Kamal Janpolat" and "Sab Salam".

Saeed Yusof had won several prizes for his songs during his lifetime and his friendship with Kurdish music. Like many other Kurdish artists, he also experienced a lot of suffering and difficulties. In addition to the many music awards he won; "UNESCO" organization recorded the music gold plaque for Saeed Yusof in Paris in 1973.
Although our artist has left us physically, however, his name, art, music, and voice will remain a treasure for hundreds of years and many Kurdish generations will grow up with his music. He probably had not left a lot of money and wealth for his family, but he left a treasure chest full of songs and music works for his nation.
The famous artist, Saeed Yusof, who served Kurdish music all his life, died in a hospital in Istanbul, Turkey due to cancer on February 26th, 2020.
This famous Kurdish artist died in a foreign country but after some time his body was transferred back to his beloved city, Qamishlo.
