Kurdshop - The teacher and poet of classic poetry, Sayda Tirezh was born in 1923 in the village of Nijima in Qamishlo, West part of Kurdistan. His real name is Nayif. His father's name is Hassan or Hasso. Sayda Tirezh moved to Semitk village with his family at the age of six. There, Tirezh studied several religious books and the Qur'an with Mullah Ibrahim Goli. Like most Kurdish poets, he began learning to read and write in religious school.
In 1937, Saydai Tirezh moved to Amude and began his education there. He continues his studies for 5 years, but cannot continue due to financial problems. There he made contact with the great poets Jegarkhwen, Qadri Jan, Hassan Shiyar, and Nuraddin Zaza. Under the influence of these poets, Sayday Tirezh increased his desire to write poetry and began to engage in patriotic activities with them. And like most of the Kurdish poets and patriotic intellectuals, he also finds himself in "Jivata Xoy bun". Along with writing poetry and stories, he also pursued an intellectual struggle.
The Kurdish poet was arrested by the Ba'ath regime's security forces in Syria in 1952 and a famous book of him was destroyed.
The great and famous teacher Jegarkhwen wrote a poem about Sayda Tirezh under his real name Naif Hasso in his collection of poems "Kima Az" and expressed great hopes for him. Jegarkhwen says this in his poem:
The education and knowledge
Bring our independence closer
Wise young people like you
He must say he is ignorant
Let’s hold hands
Let us die in this way
Jegarkhwen
Sayda Tirezh was forced to hide among the Arabs of the Juburi tribe for a long time. In 1973, he moved to Hasakah, where he stayed until his death.
Sayda Tirezh, passed away on March 23, 2002, at 08:00 pm at Dr. Hissam Baghda Hospital in Hasakah.
