Music among Kurds is known as a part of their identities. Kurdish music has been plagiarized or assimilated by their oppressors. However, some of the singers stood against the occupiers of Kurdistan and they prevented them from plagiarizing or diminishing Kurdish folklore and culture.

One of these artists is the famous Mohammad Mamle. He was born on June 2, 1925 in Mahabad. The famous Mamle grew up in an artist family. His family is one of the well-known families in Mahabad and they are known to be artists. He learned his art from this family. When he was 13 years old, he composed his first song called "She's gone and left me" and he proved his artistic ability.

Mohammad Mamle stepped into the art and music field from an early age and he became a shiny star in the art sky of Kurdistan. Not only he was a creator but he also used to use the folklore poems of Wafayi, Hemn Mukeryani, and Ahmad Hariri in song lyrics. He also sang the poem of Fayaq Bekas into a lyric called "God, protect the land".

He was a patriotic artist with a passion for his land in his mind and manner. He loved all those who were attempting to protect Kurdistan. He always used to support the movements that would lead to the independence of Kurdistan. He was a Peshmerga during the Kurdistan Republic and he stayed on the Kurdistan Republic path and was a great follower of Qazi Mohammad all his life. One of his sons is one of the martyrs of the Kurdistan movement.

"Najat Mamle", Mohammad Mamle's son was executed on September 1, 1983, along with 34 other young men from Mahabad in the Islamic Republic of Iran prison in Tabriz jail. He was only 17 years old when he was killed by the Kurdistan occupiers.

Mohammad Mamle was arrested and imprisoned by the Shah regime of Iran several times for his national and patriotic songs. He was also arrested after the Kurdistan Republic collapsed for hiding the Kurdistan flag in his house. One can say Mamle was a liberate artist who was very popular among people and he was always an obstacle for the Kurds' enemies.

He always stayed with his nation through the happy and sad moments. He is one of the leading artists and singers of Kurdistan. He always followed Kurdish art and music. He had his particular singing school in Kurdish art and was able to revive most of those songs that were about to be forgotten forever. He also used to sing songs and lyrics that consisted of Kurdish customs and cultures.

The famous Mamle gradually stepped towards historical phases of Kurdish history and the "Zamane" song is an instance of this tendency of his. In this song, he expresses all his complaints about losing Qazi Mohammad and his execution.

Kurdistan sceneries were Mamle's favorites and he sang the "Bazi Beryan" song to express all those beauties artistically.

Mamle traveled to all the mountains, valleys, and plains of Kurdistan and sang his artistic melodies. In 1963, he visited Qaladze, Suleimani, and Sarchinar and sang several songs in those cities. Mamle had also sung the "Ey Raqib" anthem, a poem written by Younes Ra'ouf known as Dildar, with his legendary voice. He had prepared his songs in different genres, from Romantic to National. He composed most of his songs and melodies. He recorded more than 300 songs and the new generations are still enjoying his songs.

Mohammad Mamle, the popular Kurdish artist died at the age of 75.
