Kurdshop- Designer and artist Murad Ozan, who lives in Dersim, North part of Kurdistan, paints and creates works of art with pieces of stone and wood he collects in the Munzur and Pulumur valleys.

Murad Ozan a 40-year-old designer, who was encouraged to pursue art by his teacher since elementary school, is now active in several different fields of art.

Murad Ozan, who spends all his time in his workshop inside his house, finally decides to paint on pieces of wood and stone.

Ozan goes to the Munzur and Pulumur valleys at specific times during the day in search of materials for his artwork. After driving for miles, he collects pieces of rock and wood on the banks of the river in the valleys.

Murad Ozan, who also has the opportunity to see the beauty of the world, paints pictures of goats, village life, and landscapes.

Murad Ozan says he will continue the art that he started in childhood with love. He says he has been involved in artistic activities where he lives and has been painting on trees for years.

Ozan explained that he has been using pieces of leaves and trees as paintings in recent years. “When I go into nature and touch the materials of the area, I feel very happy. I continue my work to create different artworks so that people can get the benefit of it too because I do not want some of the things in nature to be burned and destroyed by tourists.”

Ozan also says he did not leave his house last year and worked with stones and tree branches and collected them.

Ozan said he will sell his products at the summer fair and will spend part of the profits on homeless animals. "My goal for the next year is to teach people everything I have learned about painting. Of course, I want some students to continue after me.”
