This very unusual situation seems to be a direct effect of the tumultuous circumstances in which Rojava’s revolutionaries find themselves: the realities of civil war, refugees, foreign aid, embargo . . .
There was, two years ago at least, a very large number of Ezidi refugees living in camps in Cezîrê, the easternmost canton of Rojava.
