The Rise of Sayd Raza Darsimi – Part 2

Kurdshop - The Turkish army has launched a major attack against Kurdish fighters, with ground forces supported by aircraft and the Turkish army using armored vehicles for the first time.

Despite his fight against the invaders, Sayd Raza contacted General Alpdogan and told him in a letter that he was ready to hand over all the captured officers and soldiers and their weapons and the ammunition they seized to the Turkish state if he respected the Kurdish national rights and brought his son's killers to justice. But, General Alpdogan demands the handover of 80000 weapons, but this does not work and the war resumes.

In addition, Sayd Raza called on the Kurds to unite and stand against the occupation and asked France for assistance. A letter from Sayd Raza has been found in the French archives, in which he gently asked the French authorities for help, but the country remained silent.

Sayd Raza's letter was as follows:

"July 30, 1937"

To the Foreign Ministry of French

Dear Minister!

For several years, the Turkish state has been trying to dissolve the Kurdish nation and subjugate the Kurdish people. It banned the Kurdish press and language and arrested and tortured anyone who spoke their mother tongue. Through forced and planned migration, people from fertile areas of Kurdistan are moved to arid and waterless areas of Anatolia, where even the migrants die. Finally, the Turkish state wants to reach the Dersim region, which has been free from torture due to an agreement with the state.

Now the people have decided to stand up against Turkey's actions and have taken up arms to defend themselves; Just as they did in 1930 in Agri, Zilan, and Bayazid. It has been three months in total of heavy fighting and it is about to break out in my area.

The fighting is not going on equally, the state has resorted to bombers, incendiary bombs, and incendiary gas. I and the people of my country have defeated the attacks of the Turkish forces. Turkish planes cannot hit us and in retaliation, they bomb and burn villages and kill powerless women and children. The Turkish government is taking revenge on all Kurdish people for its failures. The prisons are full of innocent Kurdish people. Students are killed or executed, or transported to remote areas of Turkey. The three million Kurds living in their own country expect nothing but happy, peaceful life, freedom, and the preservation of their culture, language, and civilization. We ask you to use your country's moral and supreme authority to protect the Kurdish nation and to end this injustice.

The commander-in-chief of Dersim

Sayd Raza

This is because foreign countries have never tried to help the Kurds and have even seen with their own eyes how the occupying states kill and massacre the Kurds, but they have never spoken out and chosen to remain silent.

Ali Sher and killing him

Ali Sher was a hero, a scholar, and an expert in warfare. Like Sayd Raza, he belonged to the Hasani tribe. In 1937, Ali Sher had a good influence on the fight against the invaders and gave new energy to the Kurdish fighters by writing revolutionary poems and battle maps. In June 1937, Sayd Raza asked Ali Sher to go to Iran or Iraq to prevent further bloodshed; For France or Britain to come to their aid and stop further bloodshed.

However, the night Ali Sher wanted to leave, he was killed by some traitors in the cave of Agdat at the plan of General Alpdogan. The killing of Ali Sher caused great damage to the Kurdish Revolution.
